Labels & Consumables

Bespoke labels, printed labels, plain labels and ribbons

We supply labels and consumables for thermal transfer printers, barcode systems and product labelling — from plain blank stock to fully printed, custom-shaped bespoke labels.

Why the right label stock matters

Choosing the correct label material, adhesive and ribbon combination is critical for print quality, scannability and durability. A label that works perfectly in an office environment may fail completely in a cold store, oily factory or outdoor setting.

We help businesses select the right consumables for their application — matching label face stock, adhesive type and ribbon grade to the operating environment, printer model and compliance requirements. If you also need a label template designing or fixing to go with your stock, or a food labelling workflow set up end to end, we can help with both.

Bespoke Labels

Custom-designed labels built to your exact specifications

Bespoke labels are designed and manufactured specifically for your product, packaging or application. We work with you to define the size, shape, material, adhesive type, print method and finish — then produce labels that match your exact requirements.

Full Printed Labels

Pre-printed labels with your branding, graphics and fixed content

Full printed labels come pre-printed with your logo, colours, graphics and any fixed text or regulatory information. They are ideal for high-volume product labelling where the design remains consistent across batches, with space left for variable data to be overprinted on-site if needed.

Key Features

  • Full-colour or spot-colour printing
  • High-quality flexographic or digital print
  • Consistent branding across large print runs
  • Option to leave blank panels for on-site variable data overprinting
  • Supplied on rolls, sheets or fanfold depending on your printer and applicator

Typical Uses

  • Branded product labels for retail packaging
  • Compliance labels with fixed regulatory text and variable batch/date fields
  • Promotional labels and stickers
  • Multi-colour labels where on-site printing is impractical

Plain Labels

Blank label stock for on-demand printing with thermal or inkjet printers

Plain labels are blank, unprinted label stock supplied on rolls or sheets, ready for you to print on-site using thermal transfer, direct thermal or inkjet printers. They are the cost-effective choice for businesses that print their own variable content — product names, barcodes, prices, batch codes and dates.

Digital Labels

Short-run, high-quality printed labels with fast turnaround

Key Features

  • No plate or tooling costs
  • Cost-effective for short to medium runs
  • Fast turnaround from artwork to delivery
  • High-resolution, full-colour print quality
  • Easy to update designs between batches

Typical Uses

Thermal Transfer Ribbons

Wax, wax-resin and resin ribbons for thermal transfer printers

Thermal transfer ribbons are essential consumables for thermal transfer label printers. The ribbon transfers ink onto the label when heated by the printhead. Choosing the correct ribbon type — wax, wax-resin or resin — depends on your label material, print durability requirements and operating environment.

Key Features

  • Wax ribbons: economical, ideal for paper labels in general-purpose applications
  • Wax-resin ribbons: improved durability, suitable for coated papers and some synthetics
  • Resin ribbons: maximum durability, required for synthetic labels and harsh environments
  • Matched to your printer model and label width
  • Available in various lengths and core sizes

Typical Uses

  • Barcode printing on paper labels (wax)
  • Product labels needing moderate scratch and smudge resistance (wax-resin)
  • Chemical, pharmaceutical and outdoor labels requiring solvent and abrasion resistance (resin)
  • Compliance labelling where print longevity is critical

Frequently asked questions about labels and consumables

What is the difference between direct thermal and thermal transfer labels?

Direct thermal labels are heat-sensitive and require no ribbon — the printhead heats the label surface directly to create the image. Thermal transfer labels use a ribbon to transfer ink onto the label, producing a more durable print that resists fading, scratching and moisture.

How do I choose the right ribbon for my labels?

Match the ribbon type to your label material: wax ribbons work best on uncoated paper labels, wax-resin on coated papers and some synthetics, and resin ribbons on synthetic materials like polypropylene and polyester where maximum durability is required.

Can you supply labels to match my existing printer?

Yes. We supply labels compatible with all major thermal printer brands including Zebra, SATO, TSC, Honeywell, Brother and more. Share your printer model and current label specifications, and we will match or recommend the right stock.

What is the minimum order quantity for bespoke labels?

Minimum quantities vary depending on the print method and complexity. Digital printing allows for shorter runs with no plate costs, while flexo printing is more economical at higher volumes. Contact us with your requirements for specific guidance.

Do you supply labels for cold storage and freezer environments?

Yes. We supply labels with freezer-grade adhesives designed to adhere at low temperatures and remain bonded in cold storage. Let us know your storage conditions and we will recommend the appropriate material and adhesive combination.
